Labor Day Weekend Events In Los Angeles

us flag at full mast

Just because the summer season is coming to an end doesn’t mean that the fun needs to stop. Keep the festivities going with these fun things to do this Labor Day weekend!

The Taste is one of LA’s best food and wine festivals. Sponsored by the Los Angeles Times, the event is a weekend-long festival offering some of the best bites from local chefs as well as California wines. Throughout the weekend there will be some sessions you can attend ranging in categories from cooking with local produce to pairing wines with various foods. If you can only participate in one event, consider going to the Block Party that will be on Sunday, September 4th from 11am-2pm. At the Block Party, enjoy treats from some of the best mixologists and chefs in LA.

If you want one more trip to the beach before the summer ends, head down to Hermosa Beach for Fiesta Hermosa. If you love arts and crafts festivals, this event is a must as it is the largest Arts and Crafts Fair in all of Southern California! In addition to all the arts and crafts vendors, there will also be a Beer & Wine Garden and a food court filled with various types of cuisine. If you have children, feel free to let them run around the Kiddie Carnival, which will feature mechanical rides, fun games, and a 30-foot slide! The festival will be from September 3rd – 5th.

The summer fun doesn’t have to end at the LA County Fair, which begins on Labor Day weekend! The fair will run from September 2nd through the 25th and will be at the Pomona Fairplex. There will be special Labor Day Weekend hours for the opening weekend. On Friday, September 2nd the fair will be open from 12pm-midnight, on Saturday and Sunday it will be open from 10am-midnight, and on Monday, September 5th, it will be open from 10am-10pm.
